I can’t believe so many of you have never seen a rat. Are we talking wild rats only here? Because I’ve seen those, but I’ve also seen pet rats in every pet store I’ve ever been in.

I’ve never sought out rats to look at whenever I’ve been in a pet store. Mostly just puppies, kitties and bunnies.

An ex of mine had one as a pet. Stinky, ornery little bugger. I hated that bastard, and the feeling was mutual.

Yanno, upon reflection, I’d like to change my answer. I’m pretty sure that with all the years I lived in the country and my dad set mousetraps, I had to have seen a rat in its death throes and I just mentally filed them away under “Wee Mousie.” So in that case then…
