I’m more bothered by his American accent.
Isn’t that Hawkeye in the shot with his back to us, staring at a bunch of globes? At least, I thought it was.
I notice War Machine seems to have gotten better. At least, I think that’s him charging into battle behind Bucky, alongside a Wakandan army (to the left of Hulk).
I didn’t see Ant-Man anywhere, but isn’t that part of his whole gimmick? He’s there, but nobody can see him.
At the 20 second mark? I’m pretty sure that’s Thor - it’s his voice in the voiceover of Sam Jackson’s speech, the other voiceovers match who is currently on screen. It looks like he’s on the spaceship from the end of Ragnarok. Those are viewports overlooking something, not globes.
As far as Rhodes getting better, he’s still in a robot suit that Tony can make fully automated if need be.
The two are not mutually exclusive, you know. Not with the Infinity Gauntlet in play.
Yeah that’s Thor. He has short hair now.
So one thing I’m disappointed about - Spider-Man is wearing the gold trimmed suit that he turned down at the end of Homecoming. And that looks to be early in the movie - he’s riding the school bus, sees the ring floating above the city, then he’s webbing his way over to it. I was hoping the Karen suit would stick around for a while.
And does T’Challa say “Get this man a shield”, or “Get this man his shield” ?
muldoonthief:
Probably two different points of the movie. After all, that suit is in Tony Stark’s possession. There’s got to be somewhere in the middle between the time the invasion starts (Peter on the school bus) and the time he’s made contact with Tony and Tony gives him a new suit.
Sounded to me like “a shield”. Since in the MCU, the shield is pure vibranium and not some special, unique thing like it is in the comics, it’s completely within T’Challa’s ability to get Cap an exact replacement.
IO9’s breakdown of the trailer:
I didn’t even catch the fact that Tony has an Arc Reactor in his chest again.
Maybe the new Spider-suit has Karen in it, too, who knows? Karen was good for a lot of laughs in Homecoming.
I missed that as well. Maybe it’s not an arc reactor in his chest and more of an armor undersuit or maybe Thanos is such a bastard that he crushes Stark’s heart or something.
And I guess they’re saving another character for Infinity Wars part 2.
There’s going to be another Ant-Man movie so he will be fine.
I guess we kind of know some of the Black Panther characters who will survive that movie, too.
Thor, as it’s his voiceover at the same time.
The only thing that can defeat it is Iron Man roller skates.
I love how the GotG are all glowering or blankly staring, except Mantis’ cute wave.
I held out for about 5 minutes before watching it. Didn’t want to peak too early.
“Get this man a shield”, but then he doesn’t seem to ever have one. I’m guessing the scenes are wildly out of order.
All I want is for the next shot to be Coulson to step out of the shadows. “You called?”
My prediction is that we don’t see Antman and Hawkeye in this first trailer because their roles are small in this one and they are given a lot more of the burden in Avengers 4 (which I predict has little to do with Gauntlet story and is more of a “here’s the new status quo” adventure.
It’s literally called “infinity war part 2” though.
DigitalC:
That’s changed since the original reveal of the Phase 3 lineup back in what, 2014 or so? The fourth Avengers movie is now officially untitled.
