Still looking fantastic. Lot more explanation from Stark as to why he created Ultron. And a quick shot of the Vision at the end.
Stark’s a closet masochist - everything he does is designed to eventually bite him in the ass.
I loved this trailer almost as much as the first one because of one reason
James. Goddamn. Spader.
His voice is so unnervingly creepy and is so perfect for the Ultron character that the MCU is creating. I seriously get chills every time he talks. I am so psyched.
I also got an email from my local AMC saying they’re doing a double-feature of Avengers and Ultron on April 30.
I just might go. I’ve never done a double feature before
Yeah, he’s utterly terrifying. “People have looked to the sky, and seen… hope. I’ll take that from them first.”
Avengers and Ultron double feature? Do you mean the first and second Avengers’ movies?
It looks fantastic.
The only thing I have against this movie is the Scarlet Witch. It’s a personal thing. I had a bit of an adolescent crush on her back in the day. She should be a voluptuous redhead not a mousy waif. I know it’s petty.
And I can’t help but think that their treatment of Quicksilver’s powers will not be able to stand up to the scene in Days of Future Past.
There is the Ultimate Marvel Marathon:

Yes, I just got lazy in my typing
I think…I’m going to call in “sick” April 30th this year.
Yes, I too thought that Quicksilver scene was amazing.
They really need to cool it with the mind control, by the time Civil War rolls around we are gonna be sick of the heroes fighting each other.
Sorry they’re missing the first HULK w/Eric Bana. The Edward Norton one actually continues the story from that first one.
This is true, with a caveat. If Avenger’s Quicksilver could move like that, then there’s no movie. That guy is damn near omnipotent. You really can only stop him with Xavier or someone like that. Not one of the MCU Avengers could go toe-to-toe with him. Hulk might be a draw, at best.
He needs to be at “super humanly fast” not “significant fraction of light speed” in order to fit into this universe.
Well, very nice. But vs Ultron? I mean Black Widow and Hawkeye were already out matched in the last film.
Nope, the Bana one isn’t part of the MCU. The Norton movie was a “REquel” as in, it rebooted the series but it didn’t go back to the origin.
Was Stark holding Loki’s staff with the infinity stone in it?
One thing I’m personally tired of in superhero movies is the fight against a literal army of mooks. Extra points off for making them mechanical mooks, so that ‘killing’ them is OK. Not that this will prevent me from seeing the movie the first Saturday it is out, just that I’ve had enough of that scene. I’d much prefer more drawn out fight scenes like when CA faced Batroc - foes competent enough to give the heroes a fight and wear them down - versus the endless supply of bad guys we seemingly always get.
YMMV
ETA: Hawkeye and Black Widow are always going to be outclassed by any foe capable of even slowing down Thor or Hulk. And the movies are even worse than the comics about making their contributions appear equivalent to the big guns.
Interesting moment of quasi-romance between Banner and Romanov. I guess we can forget about ScarJo doing a cameo in Netflix’s Daredevil series as Matt’s one-time/future love interest.
It looked it to me. And Ultron’s blue glow matches the staff’s glow.
I wonder how Stark gets it. Last I remember, von Strucker had it.
