The BBC is reporting that a number of Australians have been killed. I do hope our Australian brethren haven’t been affected.
Yes, I’ve been quietly praying for their safety all morning. I think many of us will continue to monitor this for their reports and, hopefully, we’ll have a full accounting.
There was a show on just the other day that detailed the investigation into the bombing of the Sari nightclub of a couple of years back. Pretty disturbing stuff.
When I went back to grad school, an office mate became a very close friend. Over the years we’ve worked together, gotton each other jobs, been in each other’s wedding and now are neighbors and frequently at each other’s home for dinner, on the course, etc. Steve and his wife left Wednesday on the trip they’ve been planning for 2 years, in his words “that of a lifetime” before they settle and start having kids, a trip to Bali. Now, we wait too for reports of their safety as well.
The killer in the show I mentioned was pleased with himself to the point of gleefulness at the notion of having frightened and killed foreigners. Man, I just don’t get such a sadistic mindset.
Thirty-two people dead, one Australian death confirmed. Both numbers expected to rise.
I frickin hate terroriists.
Currently three Australians are reported dead, including a young boy on his first overseas trip. A Japanese tourist was also amongst the (currently 25) dead, as well as over 100 people injured in the blasts.
Go to hell arseholes. The only virgins who will be greeting you in your heaven will be 98 year old withered old hags, too ugly and encrusted with congenital syphillis to get fucked by any other self-respecting man or beast on this earth.
Fuck the lot of yers.
Shit, I gotta pay more attention to the news. This is the first I’ve heard of this.
It’s a national holiday this week in China. Hoping that none of my buddies or anyone from my company went to Bali this year.
Well, if one was not a lazy slacker who couldn’t wake up earlier than 4 o’clock in the afternoon, one might happen to turn the news on to find out these things.
Mightn’t one?
…I suppose, in theory, that might work.
My condolences to any with friends or family over there. A bad day all around…
Not this again.
