Any of you with cats will recognize this video - we were trying to play “Legendary” last night, when the cat decided she wasn’t getting enough attention. “You don’t mind if I walk all over your game board, do you? How about if I sit on your cards? Is that okay? Hey, what’s that thing in your hand? Can I smell it up close?”
Yay! Legendary is the best game ever. We have all the expansions. It really think it is my favorite board game of all time, never boring. My husband has obsessively organized all the cards with plastic sleeves and divider tabs.
Merlin is not allowed on the table during board games. I’m not allowed to have drinks on the table either.
We’ve only been playing for two days, and we’re already talking about how we’re going to keep everything organized - I suspect that’s part of the attraction.
Good ideas, both.
ETA: I see you decided to opt out of the cat expansion pack.
I see you were With Cat, a state that takes priority over many other things.
Like reading your book, messing around on the computer, relaxing after doing a bunch of stuff, sleeping…
Wait, you are playing a game with Marvel while wearing a DC shirt ?
Brian
That would explain the unexpected losses…
Ah HA! That might explain why my husband was not able to command awesome hands of cards! I’ll have to warn him not to wear his Superman onesie while we’re playing next time. (And I believe that is the first time that particular sentence has been uttered in English. )
You would not believe the images that collided in my brain as I read that sentence.
I don’t understand. Why would you want to play a board game when you have a cat available?
Hah. Cat on table. I have two of those.
Tables and cats, I mean. And occasionally cats on tables.
And your kitchen table and mine are identical, Cat Whisperer.
I have husband also, but older model with no Superman onesie.
Good cat is being good enough.
My cat is old and boring - her “playing” these days is just crouching down on the floor and getting petted. Whee!
Maybe the cat just wanted you to put your game on paws.
Heh - there were certainly paws on my game.
Mee-youch!
We used to play with a “turn-cat” at one guy’s house. When it was your turn you would pass the cat to the next player to continue the petting while you played the game. Sort of a first player token that kept the cat happy and off the table.
