He is a total lovesuck. And he is sucking up all the love in the room right now.
He’s lovely guestchaz.

Thanks, and lovesuck is ummmm, the more polite version of our nickname for him, nuzzleslut (but never to his face)
Oh, man. What a little sweetie. Cute name, too.
Harley got to keep his name because he was three years old when we got him from the shelter and it had been his name his whole life. His little face looked so happy at hearing something familiar in all the scary stuff.
My current cat kept her original name when we adopted her, since she was used to it and we figured she’d had enough upheaval in her life. We just changed the spelling from Alley to Allie, since I found the original a bit too bad-jokey.
Her predecessor came to us with the shelter name Soldier. He quickly made it clear that that was NOT his name. After a few days of getting acquainted, I started trying out names and got a strong response to Felix, so Felix he became for the next 16 years. (He was a brown tabby, named for the Odd Couple character. I’d never heard of the cartoon before that.)
Awesome!
I have only had one shelter adoptee who kept his shelter name, but only because they told me it was NOT a shelter name, it was the name he’d always gone by with his previous owner. So Rocky stayed Rocky.
Love your newbie. He is quite the handsome young gentlecat.
Let’s go to the quarry and throw stuff down there! Excellent post! By far my favorite cat introduction! (Remarkably accurate, too!)
Congratulations, Lord Nuzzles, on your acquisition of fine new servants!
Hee. Squee. In that pose he reminds me of the famous kitty who liked being tickled.
In the corner with Kitty Amin.
He. Is. Adorable!!!
This is why I always somehow have a plurality of cats. They come in an amazing, destroyer “cute blitz” edition.
Well done. Enjoy his majesty.
