StG and SaharaTea, I actually like those, kinda my style.
Well here is the newest guest hope that works, totally new at uploading pics to a sharing site and linking, so I guess holler if I failed and I’ll get it fixed. This is the only pic I have as yet since he’s still rather skittish and I don’t want to overwhelm the poor boy too much.
Ok so a bit about him. Obviously he is a rescue from the Humane Society. He came in as part of a litter of three,(still a kitten) which is all the good people at the Society knew about his origins. He is all grey with white gloves and boots, a white collar and shirt which comes up to a half-mask on the right underside of his face and chin. Personality-wise, he is at this point pretty much a “calm and quiet is best” type of cat. Yesterday, during the choosing process, he was sitting in Mrs. Guest’s lap and when Guestling slowly and cautiously reached over to pet him (Guestling has never seen a cat up close, only dogs, who were all as big as but usually bigger, than him) he walked right over and curled up in his lap and purred to sleep. Guestling is usually calm and quiet when its him and Mrs. Guest in public. Tonight, the cat was hiding from everyone until it got to my turn to meet him. Being a veteran cat owner, I didn’t try to make him play or anything like that, just sat with him in my lap stroking him. (I GOT BELLY:D:D:D:D) nuzzles were eventually exchanged, food fed and water drank etc. Anyway, I digress and boast (belly! yay! and I’m the only one).
We have not settled on a name, Guestling wants to name him Blank Night Awesome (I kinda like this one:D)
I’ve suggested Erik, Gaston, Leroux and Mortimer Vivant. SIGH the wife, she has no sense of humor for these things, shot them all down. I could probably convince her of Mortimer Vivant though…maybe.
I’m open to suggestions, but please, no smoke, smokie, ghost, phantom or the like, I know its hard to suggest a name based on very limited personality info and good names based on physical characteristics are rare as hen’s teeth, but Mrs. Guest is being jerkish and not suggesting any herself, merely shooting down mine and Guestling’s suggestions. I think she actually likes Blake:confused::rolleyes::dubious:. Me, I like names that are unique, fun, obscure and or historical is good too. If it were a female cat I would be thinking, nay, insisting stridently for something like Boudicca (if I thought she was going to be a bad-ass home defender/enactor of vengeance).
