I saw a commercial during the NFL game. I can’t remeber of it was a car commercial. It looked like a bunch of different college mascots running around in the desert. I saw a Spartan, a covered wagon (which probably represents the Sooners), a cowboy (I think), and a big bouncing boulder.
What school would a big bouncing boulder represent?
Unless someone beheaded Brutus Buckeye, mascot of The Ohio State University, I doubt it. His head may be a nut, but he’s got a regular human body walks around - he doesn’t roll like a boulder.
Also, the buckeye tree is the official state tree of Ohio - therefore a buckeye is a nut from that tree. Poisonous to humans though, so don’t try to eat it.
Yeah ok - it’s kind of quick and tough to see, but in order - here’s what I saw:
(1) Tiger - Who knows which Tiger it is? I’ll say it’s Mike the Tiger from LSU.
(2) Trojan - from USC. Tommy Trojan.
(3) Bulldawg - Uga from UGA. Go Dawgs!
(4) Longhorn - that’s Bevo from UT.
(5) Sun Devil - the fiery guy. I think his name is Sparky. ASU.
(6) Buffalo - Colorado. Ralphie.
(7) The Covered Wagon - that’s Boomer Sooner from OU.
(8) The Mountaineer - from West Virginia.
(9) The Giant Buckeye - The OSU.
(10) Cyclone - right at the end. I’ll say Iowa State.
That’s all I could make out. And I’ve done all that without googling / referencing, so if anything is wrong, feel free to point it out. I couldn’t tell if there was another mascot in there (like the guy hanging on underneath the wagon). Go College Football!!!
I was leaning that way, but to be honest, I couldn’t really make him out. Of course, it is sort of apropos of Michigan State’s season to have their mascot dragged around in the dirt.
