New Creepshow TV show on shudder

Just saw the first episode. The first one wasn’t very good, but the second one was one of the better short horror stories I’ve seen in a while.

Also what all references to the creepshow movies did people see? I saw at least 3.
Adrienne Barbeau played Billy in the movie skit ‘the crate’ and played a waitress in the first creepshow short.

In the dollhouse, old chief woodenhead had a cameo. So did the ashtray that was used to kill the father in fathers day.
also the crate from the first movie was in the attic of the dollhouse

Where’s my cake?

The first one is the best, particularly for Fluffy, the crate beast. Part III however, has a talking radio. Part III was not an official sequel. 2 has the black thing in the lake.

Technically Tales from the Darkside is the movie was creepshow 3. The actual titular creepshow 3 kind of sucked.

But Shudder TV just started releasing a TV show called creepshow too.

Episode 1 was disappointing. The first story – Gray Matter – really had no plot at all. Just an appearance by someone who looked like the Crypt Keeper and someone who made me think of Brundle-Fly.

The second story wasn’t any better. No plot, just a weird situation playing itself out.

I’m going to look for the episodes online today. The first movie is a real treat for Halloween. Some TV versions omit one or two stories, though. For example, the story about the rich guy on the beach is usually cut out for running time reasons. The same with the fifth tale about the roaches.

I’d love to get a replica of the crate, and “Fluffy” (the crew called it that during the filming). I’ve always liked these short story films.

Anybody remember the one where the boy imagined he had a pet tiger, and he stole meat to keep it happy? There was also a story about a jealous tree stump. Ha-ha. Funny, indeed…

I think that was tales that witness madness
