New Dark Tower book coming? Maybe? re: Stephen King tweets as such

:exploding_head:

Verrryyy interesting.

I never even read that last interquel he did. Was it any good?

Wind Through the Keyhole? Yeah, I liked it. Better than the final book anyway.

Wait a minute, this is more than just potentially another Dark Tower book. He mentions that he’s in Mid-World and the territories. Holy crap!

Tell God thankee-sai and pass the Nozz-A-La and a tooterfish popkin.

Musical fruit

King’s a real trig cove. You can set your watch and warrant on it.

No love for Jack Sawyer here?

Dad-a-chum? Dum-a-chum? Ded-a-chek?

Sounds Hawaiian, doesn’t it?

Wolf!

Right here and now!

I was so hoping that he was going to appear in The Dark Tower somewhere. He’s always been one of my favorite characters.

Maybe he’s referring to The End of the World As We Know It, the new anthology that is coming out that takes place in the world of The Stand. Maybe we’ll get some kind of crossover, with someone from The Stand’s version of Topeka ending up in mid world, or maybe just a more fleshed out version of how the ka-tet spent their time in Topeka. But I’m guessing we’re going to see at least a little more of Roland.

Why do I think that might be the case? The blurb on Amazon says that these are “all-new stories set during and after (and some perhaps long after) the events of The Stand”. What else could “long after” mean other than Roland’s time?

I liked it. IMHO it wasn’t as good as the first four books, but it was better than the last three.

King was on today’s episode of The Kingcast podcast, lightly talking about working on mid-world/territories again, for anyone who wants to hear it in his own voice.

May you say true, and I say thank ya!
