i was including the aborted first game and the problems that occured - certainly interesting reading.
I think it’s only fair to point out that it’s not quite sporting to compare the intensity of the fighting between a game that’s just finished 1903 and a game that’s just started 1901.

fair enough - i’ll try and respond in kind - but it will have to wait until tomorrow. its 1am here and i need my beauty sleep!

Plus, the definition of kibbitz is “v : make unwanted and intrusive comments”, so there’s not a whole lot of motivation there.

Coinicdenally, I also have a ten foot pole, excellent for not touching a wide variety of things. Just $10.99 + S&H.
I have an eleven foot pole, built specifically for those things which one would not consider touching with a ten foot pole. Not to say that a ten foot stick is not impressive.
