I had it good living out here in the farther reaches of South Surrey- cheap rent, an apartment with insuite laundry, a kitchen big enough to store a dutch oven;a dishwasher, and a grocery store a block away. Sure, I had an hour commute each way to work in downtown Vancouver and there’s no where around for decent Chinese food, never mind a nice pho, but hell, laundry!
Then the commute started dragging out a bit longer. The morning bus ride was now 75 minutes. A full 90 minutes home. Then, this past fall, the evening ride was 2 hours, an hour of that just to trundle across Vancouver. I could commute from Calgary faster.
So I’ve thrown in the 3 zone bus pass and surrendered. I’m moving to Kits tomorrow. Where’s the laundromat?
