New game: 3 film quotes and a common element

I agree with you ArchiveGuy, though I can see how some, glancing over the posts with a cursory eye, might have mistaken the hint you provided for an actual answer.

So Dopers, please keep your new submissions in reserve until ArchiveGuy’s unanswered puzzle (Post #55) is solved.

And if you throw in Liam Neeson for K-19, you can include the prequels as well.

Well, I answered the last one, so I’ll give this a bump to give people a chance to get my last connection as well as the following:

  1. “You married an incompetent. I’m irresponsible, cruel and aimless. I hate to cook, and I’m sloppy. If you really knew me, you’d hate me.”
  2. “You’re the nellie, not me! I’m a pitcher, not a catcher! Don’t you ever forget that!”
  3. “Nobody brought a piece. It’s not that kind of an evening.”

Oh… while my 3 movies were identified, the theme I intended was, all three people being quoted (Conan the Barbarian, Spartacus, and Brian Cohen) get crucified in their movies.

Actually, I was going to guess crucifixtion, but had forgotten about Conan’s (good flick, but it’s been a while).

OK, the actors who said these quotes are: Yul Brynner, Julie Andrews, and Thomas Mitchell.

Not only are these 3 Oscar winners, but they won Oscars the same year as these movies, but for different films: The King and I, Mary Poppins and Stagecoach.

Anybody still want to take a crack at my other quotes, or is this thread dead?
