Here goes:

  1. Volcanic island

  2. 88 sq km

  3. population of 1288

  4. precip ave of 26" in mts. Rest dry and barron

  5. UK est naval base in 1815

  6. During WWII US built airfields

  7. Home of cable station, has missles (might be that they make or store them, didn’t ask her) and satellite tracking.

I know it has to be somewhere in the Pacific, and based on the cable station I was thinking it’s the one awarded the .tv domain.

Any help on this one?

The tv domain is Tuvalu, which isn’t it. Tuvalu has a population of around 11,000, and is a coral atoll with no elevation above 15 feet, which means it has nothing that could be called a “mountain” by even the most imaginitive.

What makes you think it’s in the Pacific? Because it sounds like Ascension Island to me, except that’s in the Atlantic.

I’ll check on that island. I thought with all the volcanos in the Pacific, that was most likely.
