New George Carlin album on the way

Before September 11, 2001, George Carlin was working on a new batch of material he intended to record for HBO called “I Kinda Like It When a Lot of People Die.” September 11 happened, and not even George Carlin wanted to come out with something so potentially offensive, so a lot of the more hardcore material got binned; the rest came out the next year as “Complaints and Grievances.”

Well, apparently Carlin made some recordings of this material pre-9/11, and they’re being released this week. The New Yorker has the scoop; really looking forward to hearing this.
