As I write this, so new it doesn’t come up in a Google search. All cover songs, listening now
Ooooh, Thank you for that!
So exiting. It is on Spotify.
My sweetie ordered herself a copy this afternoon. Listening to it now, nice covers. I haven’t really heard them disappoint, ever. Nice, raw, live production on this one. Sounds like you’re sitting in the room with them.
Just in case some don’t want to click around for a version you can listen to without an account, here’s the bandcamp link:
I know scabpicker knows this, but in general, I hope everyone else knows that artists do way better when you buy from Bandcamp. It has a perfectly good app, and a very good notification system. It also carries a lot of obscure artist that are hard to find in other places. Even if you’re depending on iTunes right now or some other platform, it’s worth carrying two apps given how much more money goes to musicians via Bandcamp.
And yes, also excited for new Welch/Rawlings!
Wow, I actually had no idea of how great the financial advantages of Bandcamp are. In retrospect, I feel stupid, since my own band’s stuff is up on there and also on other services. Guess what, the only money we’ve ever received was through Bandcamp. I’m not doing it for the money, but I’m apparently completely oblivious.
I really love them because of: the aforementioned lack of an account requirement; when you buy it, you can just download it and own it; and bands can let you try the whole album before you buy (If they’re confident). If I find myself going back to bandcamp to find your music more than a couple of times, I’m buying your music. I’ve probably spent half of my recorded music dollar at bandcamp in the last few years, and the rest either directly to the artists at shows or through record stores.
