Carte Blanche has already been published in the UK. It’s due out this week in the US. I hadn’t heard a word about it.
As a Bond fan, I’ve read every James Bond novel, including the awful Christopher Wood novelizations (which were still far superior to his awful Bond movie scripts), except for the juvenile novels of Charlie Higson (I do have some standards).
Apparently they’ve finally decided to reboot the literary, as well as the cinematic, James Bond. He’s now said to be born in the 1970s, putting him after Ian Fleming’s death and the first more than a half dozen Bond movies. We’ll see how well that all works out.
Fixed the link. Note that links with a paranthesis at the end does not work well, currently. - Gukumatz
