New Mexico bill would make it a felony for rape victims to abort

The person sponsoring this bill is in right wing bubble land. One of its meme’s is the notion that there are sexual predators that rape underage girls and then force them to have abortions to destroy the evidence.
Steve King R-crazy was mocked by Colbert for saying the same thing.

One of the things King says is that not only is it happening, but that it’s legal to do this. (It’s not) That means that all the rabid pro-lifers are telling each other that it’s legal, King didn’t make that up on the spot. The rep. from New Mexico was trying to remedy what she saw as a problem.

Pretty much, any crazy off-the-wall thing said by a conservative politician is something they heard on Fox News or some conservative radio host. They repeat it to each other so often that they believe it. Mitt’s 47% comment was the same way.

I wondered if the original comment has those rape levels in really the right order. I would have put “forcible rape” second, just below “emergency rape”.
