Oh yeah. This whole thing pisses me off, especially the attitude that “You’re going to skip Christmas???” is the worst thing in the world. As if all the Jews in the world, not to mention the Hindus, Moslems, etc., and people just too darn poor to afford Christmas don’t find some way to have a good time anyway. And I celebrate Christmas, even though I’m atheist (well - the secular side of it) and I still say this.

A glimpse into the arrogant side of middle-class suburbia, I think.

Not to defend this movie, since it looks like the worst episode of Home Improvement combined with the worst Hallmark Christmas Specials ever, but from the previews I saw, it looks like the movie actually makes fun of the idea of an all-American suburbia’s obsession with Christmas.

But please, don’t see it just to verify if I’m right or not. I couldn’t go on with that responsibility hanging over me.

I went to an early showing of the new Bridget Jones movie last night. Thank God the tickets were free, we walked out halfway through the movie.
