We’re coming down in late October.
Need a swanky hotel. Recommendations? We’d like to be in the Quarter, on the Canal side of Jackson Square. We’d like to be closer to Decatur St than Rampart. A laundry list of must-see restaurants would be welcome. We’ve spent MANY vacations there in the past, but want this trip to be very plush. Looks like the St Louis right now, but some Doper could sway us to other lodgings. Show me the best of NOLA!
The Marriots are good if you can get in - (nobody goes there in the summer because they’re too crowded!) Eat at Emeril’s. Paul Prudomme’s was dumpy but good - not sure lately, though.
Here’s a tip: don’t flirt with the hookers on Bourbon St while at breakfast with your new wife. Didn’t work for me!
