The OP was a tiny bit misleading – it did rather sound like you yourself, took the pics yesterday, of a 5 week old pup. *I *know that the breeder finally got around to emailing you old pics, but that wasn’t entirely clear from the OP.
Anyway, I still vote for Freya. Or Sigyn, for *Loki’s wife, but I don’t know how to pronounce it.

Wicca will freak out your mothers. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing, but it might be more trouble than it’s worth.
Sorry, just had a melty moment, imagining the big paws and that super-soft downy spot riiiiight on the top of a buppy’s head, in between the ear nubbins.
God, I love dogs. Saw a car today at the supermarket, with a lady sitting inside with a beagle and two Weimeraners. Had to mosey past the car just to gawk at the pooches.
Again, not to be mean, but “The breeder set the date based on her knowledge of this dog and we’re abiding by what she recommends” is iffy specifically because breeders all too often “move product” early to save themselves time and money. Of course they say their deep knowledge of the breed and the individual dogs makes the decision the right one; the problem is that they’ll still say this even if they’re lying.
That’s why responsible dog people stress that really, under no circumstances other than, for example, momma dog dying, should puppies be separated from their litters before 8 weeks. Don’t take my word for it; do some googling, visit some general interest (i.e., not breeder-for-profit) websites. Responsible dog people have to stress this basic information over and over because breeders under pressure to save cash repeatedly try to confuse and mislead the public on this issue.
I’m sorry to harp on this but this is a longtime struggle against ignorance you’ve walked into the middle of; it’s very much as if you had told us you’re sending your money to a Nigerian minister who is moving a fortune out of the country and needs your help. Of course the Nigerian tells you he knows what he’s doing; we’re still going to advise otherwise.
Now maybe I’ve just misread the numbers but the OP sounds like the dog is being separated at six weeks. If so, that’s too early, and it says something about your breeder’s ethics, even if the person is nice and the dog is wonderful.
If not, I apologize, and please consider this post merely informational.
Hey Bobo, congrats on the puppy! She is going to be a charmer for sure!
Us rescue people sometimes can be a PITA, but it’s only because we do have the dog’s best interest at heart. I can tell by your posts though that you and your family are very excited about this puppy, I wish you all the best, and hope you new addition is healthy and happy for many many years!
