New Pynchon novel - Inherent Vice

Just caught a review on BBC of Pynchon’s new novel, called Inherent Vice. First I’ve heard of it, so excited to hear that it’s coming out next month.

The good news, for those of us feeling a bit battered by Against the Day and Mason and Dixon, is that it’s apparently squarely in the accessible Pynchon zone of *Vineland *and The Crying of Lot 49. Even features some of the same characters. So it will be light on dense, lyrical prose but big on mischief, real comedy and even a bit of plot. Should be a lot of fun.
