[New spam classic:] Don’t Tell the Kids [we're going to eat Mr. Cottontail]

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.

RABBIT SPAM!
DUCK SPAM!
RABBIT SPAM!
DUCK SPAM!
POW!

I banned the OP but I’m putting this thread back in MPSIMS. I think it might be a good one.

Seriously? Someone was spamming rabbit meat? Am I understanding this correctly?

On a semi-related tangential note, I once had a friend who grew up very poor. In the back yard, they had a great big rabbit hutch filled with more rabbits than they could easily keep track of. It wasn’t until he was in college that he figured out that his parents were lying to him when they told him that there are two different kinds of chicken…

Must have something to do with this NYTimes article. But why someone would spam a mainstream news article without a link is beyond me.

Yup, it’s really spam. The OP wasn’t spamming to get people to eat rabbit, though. This was supposed to be an innocuous first post so he could start spamming later. But this is how they work sometimes.

I always have hassenpfeffer for Easter dinner . . . .

I like welsh rabbit myself (yes, I know).

Cook! Where’s my hasenpfeffer?!
Might as well provide the whole shebang while I’m at it…

You let in a couple of rabbit spammers and before you know it there’re dozens.

I never can think of the Easter bunny without remembering this.

I had some fairly good bunny at a restaurant in Burlington Vermont. But it was not as good as emu and ostrich. Better than rattlesnake, though.

A farm near us has a sign out front: RABBITS FOR SALE. I always wonder: for pettin’ or eatin’?
