New Study: 45,000 die in U.S every year from lack of healthcare

“I have the envelope! And the Understatement of the Millenium award goes to…”

This demonstrates something less than smart about you. It proves that there is zero point in discussing issues with you. I won’t attempt to put a word to it though.

Have you always been such a blithering idiot, or did 1968 make you stupid as well as vile?

What was the last major issue you changed your mind about by looking at the evidence?

Is your Social Security Disability story is enough to generalize about ALL government programs?

Is it possible to give you a cite you won’t automatically dismiss as biased? Could you explain what your criteria are for determining this?

Just to stack on to the list of cites: here’s a study by the Rand Corporation showing the Veterans Administration delivering superior care.

Or how about this cite from the Kaiser Foundation, showing Medicare recipients trust Medicare at a higher rate (68 percent) than people on private insurance (48)?

On what other issues do you run with common sense and experience rather than data? Do you think the sun and moon are perfect celestial bodies orbiting the Earth while attached to perfectly transparent crystalline spheres? Do you think that rotting meat creates maggots? Is the planet you live on (the one where torture is widely acknowledged to be effective and thus justifiable) flat?

You could at least pay attention to the things you are responding to. Or is this an example of how well you pay attention to everything, such as the actual value of a UHC?

I didn’t pay attention since I wasn’t going to go get one, but I imagine a good place to start would be county health. There was an article in the Register about it, back whenever the first rumblings about swine flu started.

This one is so funny, it’s too bad it wasn’t right under torie’s last post - she bitched that I took a whole 24 hours to respond to her, but E72521 thinks I spend all day here!

It is you who have paid no attention to UHC.
