New Style Trend for Balding Young Men?

Hey!!! me too

My hairline isn’t where it was in my teens, but it’s still in a reasonably good place. Judging by my father (pre-chemo) and three older brothers, it looks like hair will pretty much always be an option.

Still, I opt out. From my teens through my mid-30’s my hair was long…anywhere from middle-of-the-back to well-past-my-butt long. I cut it to a short, messy-spiky look several years ago, and then a few months back I thought “I wonder what my head really looks like”. One shave later (with my wife’s consent – after all, she’s the one who has to look at it), and I found out.

I had planned on making it a one-time thing – I’d shave it and then let it go for a year or so. However, both my wife and I have decided we prefer it this way. She’s been digging the stubble-head-with-Van-Dyke look, and I like that my showers now take under two minutes.

KneadToKnow summed it up perfectly – five minutes with the trimmer every few weeks, and I’m good to go.
