I was at a concert yesterday afternoon (in Montreal) and saw a man wearing a MAGA hat. A closer inspection showed that it actually said “Make America Go Away”. Just had to share that.

I worry that Trump is this timeline’s Mule, something statistical forecasting can’t predict.

Some time in the next 1000 years. The question is, will there be a Second Age of Trump?
If the war with Iran drags on for months, or worse, spreads to other countries, and gas prices continue to rise, we’ll see many MAGA folks running for the exits. Whether something worse than MAGA emerges, with or without Trump as their dear leader, is hard to predict.
I’ve heard of people wearing hats with the same message in Greenland.
And on Friday last week, I was in an airport and the cashier at the diner had a shirt that seemed to say MAHA, which seemed overly political to me. (RFK Junior uses that to mean “Make America Healthy Again”.) But then I looked more carefully and saw a symbol in front of the M that was supposed to be an O. I was in Eppley Airfield, the airport in Omaha, Nebraska and her shirt simply said OMAHA.
Trump is the Ass. Not to get biblical, on it.

I believe the “Mule” being referred to is the character from Asimov’s “Foundation” books, an entity who is not predictable that defies most solutions used thus far. Solutions used in the past don’t work on him.
But the mule in Asimov’s Foundation was sterile (hence the name) and also had super powers. Trump has unfortunately passed on his genes and his superpowers are stupidity and hatred.
Like an actual ass.

Hatred, at least, isn’t genetic. And stupidity isn’t a Trump exclusive.

I thought we were now in the 2nd Age O’ Trump. Or did you mean a Second Coming?
I have a red hat much like that, but with Kimmel’s message, “Isn’t it past your jailtime?”. But the message is too small to see from afar so I have refrained from wearing it in public. Since I am in a blood-red territory, I’m afraid it may be misinterpreted from a distance.
And I know people DO see/read messages on hats. I also have a “Vietnam Veteran” hat, and I often (yes, often) have strangers say, “Thank you for your service,” sometimes accompanied with a hug and/or a handshake.
Maybe I should get a red hat made with both messages, and see what happens.
I think that shows a disturbing lack of insight into how stupid people work.
MAGA people don’t see the war in Iran or anything else Donald Trump does or any of the negative effects they are experiencing as something that has, in fact, directly been created by Donald Trump (which they are). These are simply events or scenarios that “just happened” and Trump is the only one they believe can protect them from all these enemies who are out to destroy their lifestyle.
The point is at no time will any of them ever objectively examine their beliefs and say “oh…maybe I was wrong about that.”
Watching a report on the Florida’s special election. One voter said if Trump endorsed the candidate it was her vote. She didn’t even know the Republicans candidates name(Jon Maples).
That’s just a sad illness.
And apparently Trump voted by mail. Egads!
And, like the Mule, when he’s gone things will go back on track, unless he goes full Gregg Stillson, which I’d give even money on.
Now this is slander, pure and simple.
The Mule was not perfect be he was very intelligent person and a captivating artist, while Trump struggles to form a sentence and has never done anything remotely creative in his life.
