With all of the new technology available these days, why the f does the NFL and college football for that matter, still use the actual chains to mark the 10 yard distance for 1st downs. Surely it wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to have some kind of laser/infared light system set up so that measurements wouldn;t be as guesswork as they actualy are.
well, I would want them to find a better way to get some nice camera angles for instant replays. Did they not do something cool with multible cameras at the super bowl in Tampa?
A rotatable view of the game?
The chains? who knows why. I guess it is tradition.
I am just suprised they have not whored out the advertising rights on the top of them poles.
