An awesome new trailer for “District 9” was just posted!

For those not in the know, “District 9” is an upcoming sci-fi political allegory created by South African director Neil Blomkamp, who has earned some fame for his creative use of naturalistic CGI mixed with documentary-style footage (including in the short film on which “D-9” is based, “Alive in Joburg”). It’s scheduled to come out in August.

This is an alternate version of the teaser trailer released with “Wolverine,” with the alien’s face no longer blurred out, and subtitles provided for its dialogue.

Looks like an updated version of Alien Nation with better effects. I’ll watch it.

This looks hella interesting. The trailer without the subtitles makes a lot less sense.

The first time I saw the other trailer I thought “That’s Neill Blomkamp, isn’t it?”

I’m so glad he finally has a movie coming out, he’s an incomparable talent. It’s such a shame he never got to make the full length Halo movie. His teasers were so cool.
