Looks like a rocket-ship. I kinda like it, though. The four towers remind me slightly of Detroit’s Renaissance Center.
You’re right, though. The music needs to go. Maybe it’s a preview of the music they plan to play in the elevators.
Very ugly; hate the top; ignores the WTC footprint. Looks like Zeckendorf Towers on steroids.
Thumbs down.
The guy sounds like a loon.

What, pray tell. IS this ‘technology’?
Not to mention the fact that it’s ungodly UGLY.
Heh. Its some massive loudspeakers mounted on the roof that blasts aircraft away with the soundwaves… I think when it is discovered that an aircraft is on a collision course with the building they pop in Eddie Van Halen’s Eruption and crank it.
Unfortunately, it is so loud it kills everyone in the building in the process.
I can’t take anything seriously that includes a “biosphere.”
Misspelling “stories” didn’t help any either. Sorry.
Nosir, I don’t like it. As other posters have mentioned, it really wouldn’t fit anyway.
I say put everything (including the other buildings at WTC plaza) right back up the way it was.
I like it. It’s very futuristic-looking and has a Metropolis vibe.
Erm, no. Looks too much like a rocket built out of household containers.
I also think it should double as Dr. Evil’s new headquarters.
Muahahahahahahahahaha

I think that pretty much speaks for the whole proposal. (Bolding mine, of course)
The most interesting thing is that the group proposing this is located in the Bahamas.
Um, the site is very nicely designed.
The building would benefit from one or two pointers from an architect. Or at least someone with a passing interest in structural engineering.
What I’d like to know is if Mr Miller has ever actually built anything, apart from maybe a 1:1 scale crack-pipe.
“Cyber-city.” Jesus. Maybe someone’ll get around to building that “information superhighway” so people will be able to commute to it.
Judging by the contents of his 'site, I’d guess “No.”
Oh, and add my vote to the “Ugly” collumn.
Yuck. I’m having a hard time imagining that ugly thing in the New York skyline. It looks like 4 gigantic dildoes taped together. It also almost looks like 4 sticks of dynamite. Probably not the image you’d want for the World Trade Center.
Oh, and I guess there’s a 5th building in there too, in the middle. You can’t really see it from most angles. I can’t imagine that you could see much looking out the window or the central building, either. I’m not an architect, but somehow that sounds like a bad thing.
Also, a website that requires that I download Flash 6 so that I can look at some little animations which mainly just hog my system resources, shrinks the actual text of the page to less than 20% of my monitor’s space, and uses non-standard scroll bars is a bad idea. Not to mention the music.
I think it looks like something I would build in SimCity.
I’m not a very good architect.
I fully agree.
I say rebuild the towers from the original plans and designs.
Nothing says “Go Fuck Yourselves!” to terrorists than the American spirit rebuilding something that was lost. Put a memorial there, but I say rebuild the damn things and immortalize who was lost through them.
Tripler
I’ve seen Ground Zero, and I hope it gets rebuilt.
I liked the concept of the trees and plaques… but the picutre idea is stupid
And I thought London’s erotic gherkin building was bad. That’s sinfully ugly.
More things that make me suspicious:
[ul][li]The vote in favour remains 82% for, 18% against - just as it was a month ago when Yahoo! reported on it.[/li][li]The guy who designed it said it came to him in a vision. That would be why the accompanying text is mindless bollocks, then. And it might explain the ‘soundwave’ security.[/li][li]He’s not even American - he’s a New Zealander.[/li][li]It’s not on the judging shortlist for new entries.[/li][li]He’s admitted to having absolutely zero experience as a developer.[/li][li]He’s demanding the US government declare Manhattan a no-fly zone to enable his new weapon.[/li][li]He speaks about himself in the third person and quotes from the bible about his foresight: “’‘A city built on the hill cannot be hid,’’ he said in a telephone interview, reading from the Book of Matthew. He added: ‘The pharaohs created a structure much beyond their time. I’m saying in the 25th Century, people will look back to the 21st Century and say those who supported Mr. Turner’s dream were much beyond their time.’”[/ul][/li]Sounds like a publicity-seeking nutcase to me.
