I had been thinking about my answers from last night, and all that came to me was “exercise.” I decided to wait until morning to see if I could think better. But then, when I came back, Discourse jumped me to someone else’s answer, and so I had to go with my first guess from last night. I’m not even sure exercise would be considered distinct from “lose weight” by most participants.

I told Rebo I was going to win this game, now I think I’ll be near the bottom. When it comes to #8 I can’t believe I forgot about so many songs with New in the title. I could only come up with that one by Sting.

Bumping the thread.
(Discourse won’t let me type bump. Or .BUMP)
Replies to question 4 has me shocked, shocked I tell you. I always have pork and sauerkraut for new years, and assumed everyone did the same. Never heard of black eyed peas being eaten for new years.
It’s a southern thing, typically served with collard greens.
I love collards, like black eyed peas, but never heard of them being tied to new years.
I love rice and peas when in the Caribbean. On several islands I’ve had Jamaicans tell me they couldn’t believe I’d ordered rice and peas on a day that wasn’t Sunday (a Jamaican tradition).
Only 24 players so far…
I wrote Hoppin’ John, which is a dish featuring black-eyed peas. I wonder if it counts?
Yes, I combined Hoppin’ John with black-eyed peas. I’ve been getting a head start on the scoring.
Also - in the future, please put pass if you want to leave a blank. (Not you specifically, knoodler. Unless you did it, too!)
I’m not familiar with the play— can I insert “pass” and change my mind later?
