ETA: Weirdly, I was completely unsuccessful finding voting patterns for that county. I thought that was data you could find for any county in the US. My Google-Fu is usually strong but I failed this time (I even committed the cardinal sin here of asking an AI…it didn’t have an answer either).

St. Lawrence county in NY went 59% for Trump vs 41% for Harris.

If they would list the tariff charge per item, they would effectively be listing their wholesale cost for that item, as well. Not gonna happen.

That’s a good point. So what do you think was the play here?

Not necessarily. They could always calculate what the retail price would be without tariffs, then add a “tariff”-sized surcharge to that and call it due to the tariffs. No rule that says they have to tell the truth.
