Just to be clear, not asking for an opinion on them. Just options. I really need a news website that has a simple, clean interface. Obviously, non-biased/slanted is the larger of the preference here, besides varied content. Anyone know of any? I can’t use the big players for obvious reasons. Slashdot was decent, now not so much. I need a new homepage to recap on what is going on in the U.S. and the World… any tips are really appreciated.
Have a look at Channel News Asia. You might find it a nice change. ‘Non bias/slanted’, seems an unrealistic aim, but ‘less bias’, seems doable!

You might like to use Newsprism as a launchpoint. It isn’t a news site itself, it’s an organized set of links to news sites, arranged as a spectrum from left to right, liberal to conservative.
I like to get a taste of each side’s version/assumptions about the hot story of the day, and I can do that using this starting point.
Since the OP is looking for advice, let’s move this to IMHO.
