You might have a chance if you had a real QB like Ken Dorsey at the helm.
I’d even take Derek Anderson’s services for a game, but seriously, nobody could do anything behind our patchwork, injured, overpaid and underwhelming oline. Our offensive line problems are the biggest issue facing this team.
Hopefully Mike Brown will rid himself of his Millen-esque desire to draft skill position players and draft oline, oline, dline, dline, LB, oline, LB, dline.
Sure hope Eli is enjoying his last taste of Texas Stadium turf. 8 sacks and scads of knockdowns.
Its looking like Brandon Jacobs might be the Giants’ MVP.
Hey, the Boys just wanted to show him the view through the hole in the roof!
At least eight times.
Not that I’m counting or anything.

ahem
It was a very enjoyable game, indeed!
I didn’t hear any mention of it last night but wasn’t this the first time in the last 10 games or so that Romo didn’t have a turnover?
That was a very enjoyable defensive performance last night by both sides. Shame Jacobs and Barber weren’t at a point where they could liven things up a bit more.
Personally, I’d count a fumble in the endzone for a safety as a turnover, but it won’t count as one on the stat sheet.
I guess Burress was a really, really effective decoy.
Something like that. I’ve gotten to the point where I’ll say, “OK, there’s your INT for the game–now you can get back to business!”
Yeah, Barber didn’t have a good night–his foot must still be a problem. I think people can easily discount how much their little toe contributes to balance and motion. Speaking as someone who’s rearranged a lot of furniture with her pinky toes, I can say that, even though it’s not a crippling injury, it can sure affect how well you execute sudden moves and turns!
Goodbye Washington Foreskins.
To the rest of the NFC East or any and all NFC teams seeking a wildcard, you’re welcome.
Signed,

The Giants/Panthers game is killing me. Now to overtime!
What a game.
That was excellent.
Ward had 215 rushing yards, and obviously played well, but it’s not so much that he played great as it is was that the offensive line had its finest moments when he happened to be in the game.
I very much like this team. It means a lot more to me than last year’s team did – last year was great, but I had sort of written them off as Super Bowl contenders before the playoffs, so their run was just gravy to me. I’m much more emotionally invested in this team.
It’s not going to get mentioned anywhere, but the defense should get its due. If they don’t hold the Panthers to a 3 & out in overtime, the Giants simply can’t win the game.
I really like this team.
Missed the playoffs 3 out of 4 years.
Two things contradicting assertions I have made:
- Eli (and the rest of the Giants) played great in the third quarter
- There was a commercial break in overtime
That game reminded me how truly great Tiki Barber was. He led the team in rushing for 70+ straight games. Not just games he was in; for 70+ straight Giants games, the leading rusher for the game was Tiki Barber. He never missed a game, and he never got outshone by a backup in garbage time.
And if you’re thinking that there was never anybody as good as Ward behind Tiki, Ward himself was behind Tiki. Tiki’s streak is mindboggling.
I find it fun that Ward increased his career total rushing yards by nearly 15% last night. What a game for Ward. Meanwhile Jacobs pounded the defense and got 3 hard fought short yardage rushing touchdowns. Booyah!
