NFL 2020: Week 4

It was something about “still the most recognizable face from the NFL blah blah blah”.

Now that I think about it, seems like every time the Jets are on prime time they talk about Namath.

It beats having to talk about the Jets.

If people think about Namath, I’d think, ‘I just want to kiss you!’ would be the first thought
.

Anyone who remembers Super Bowl III is at least 60.

Cam Newton has tested positive for coronavirus and won’t play on Sunday against the Chiefs in Kansas City.

The game has been postponed, may be played Monday or Tuesday. We’ve seen this movie before, however

So now Bears/Colts gets moved to the late game at 3 15 pm, ugh. I don’t really want to watch the Nick Foles show as my only game for the late game

The other two games in that timeslot are Giants/Rams and Bills/Raiders. I’m hoping we see the Buffalo game in my area.

Not dissimilarly, the networks tend to find some way to mention Vince Lombardi whenever the Packers are on prime time. But, at least the Packers have done a few other things in the past 50 years that can be used to fill time and “build a story,” unlike the Jets.

Saints might be at risk as well with a positive test

Dammit! I have covid on my fantasy team, but I started influenza this week.

The positive test may likely have been a false positive. Game on

I will say that I think the NFL’s reliance on testing as the arbiter is going to be a problem in the long run, much like the White Houses’ reliance on testing has been.

It will be an interesting season.

I think NFL is going to experience what MLB did. When you move large groups of people around from city to city - and ‘groups’ in the NFL are larger than in MLB - it’s inevitable that one or a handful of people will ignore the protocols.

Brady gives up another pick 6.

And Cam Newton is definitely the type to believe the rules don’t apply to him

Outside of Myles Garrett, there is a absolutely no defense being played in the Browns/Cowboys game.

Sad, sad…Cowboys getting obliterated.

I think McCarthy’s a good coach, but he’s also a coach that probably benefited from having really good players and an organization to work with, which isn’t meant as a cheap shot. I don’t know many coaches that win with crap players, but I’m not sure he’s going to squeeze more out of the Boys than Garrett did, and McCarthy’s kinda old school, which might clash with the “Jerry’s the real coach, so we’ll do what the fuck we want” mentality that pervades the team.

I also forgot that Mike Nolan is the DC. Mike “I can’t really coach but I’m gonna draw attention to myself and wear a suit like I’m coaching in the 1960s” Nolan – that Mike Nolan.

Ah, good old garbage time. Dak Prescott, once again, has an astoundingly great statistical game against a bad defense that is playing prevent defense.
