NFL 2021: Week Two Gentlemen of Verona

wow raiders beat the steelers if they beat the ravens broncos and chiefs .and chargers ill be happy …

2-0 …

Tenessee should’ve gone for 2 there, just ran Henry down their throats again. The defense was beat up and exhausted and I thought Vrabel was the sort of coach who could make that kind of call.

Tyrann Mathieu already with two picks and it’s still the first quarter! Lamar Jackson definitely not looking happy on the bench

If you love a little smashmouth, hard running, check out this play from Damien Harris today.

Good game tonight. Wasn’t sure Baltimore could hang with KC after their performance last week but it seems Las Vegas is a better team than anyone gave them credit for. Also, Lamar is shredding them on those RPO plays.

Lamar Jackson seems to putting some serious effort in here. It’s an entertaining games with 2 minutes to go and one point in it.

Dang. Glad I stayed up for that one.

That was an exciting end.

Just watched the highlights of the TEN - SEA game and it seemed like the Seahawks probably take that one if they just could have, you know, not committed multiple personal fouls on defense.

I thought the taunting call at least was fairly weak. I’m not sure exactly what the NFL is telling officials this year, but … what a poorly chosen point-of-emphasis that is. Who the fuck cares if a DB is excited for three seconds after making a good play? Why do they feel the need to “get that out of the game?” smh…

I mean, it’s impossible to know without knowing what was said, right?

ETA: Taunting is 100% in player control (unlike, say, accidental helmet to helmet contact) and there is no need for it. So maybe just don’t do it at all?

Quarterback injury updates:

Indy’s Carson Wentz sprained both of his ankles yesterday, and may not be ready to go next week.

Miami’s Tua Tagovailola is “day-to-day” with a rib injury.

Houston’s Tyrod Taylor is also day-to-day, with a hamstring injury, but even if he is not ready to go for Thursday’s game, the Texans don’t plan on activating Deshaun Watson.

And, Chicago’s Andy Dalton has a knee injury, though the extent of it is not yet clear (though the Bears say it isn’t an ACL tear). Coach Matt Nagy says that Dalton will remain their starter, if he’s healthy.

Latest is Tyrod may miss multiple weeks.

To play Devil’s advocate, the game was getting pretty chippy (especially DK Metcalf) so I think it wasn’t just that play that led to a flag, but the officials wanted to try to put a lid on the overall extra-curricular stuff going on during the game.

Tua is a cat that’s running out of lives. I thought his career was over before it started after the brutal injury he suffered in his final year at Bama.

I’m hugely enjoying the Peyton/Eli MNF simulcast, though it’s mainly Peyton riffing and Eli reacting. But Peyton is really great at riffing.

Now they got Gronk - even better lol

Packers defense needs help. No pass rush. Confused secondary. And, to compensate for those, they’re giving up a ton of underneath stuff.

That guy who picked every game so far this week correctly on a parlay, but who also picked the Lions, is probably feeling really, really sick right now.

Aaron Rodgers is happy he got the ‘trolls off his back…’

This guy is way too thin skinned, he’s acting like a teenager on Twitter.
