As a Chiefs fan, I’m glad that the Bengals won today, so the AFC championship game will be in Arrowhead next Sunday.
As a Chiefs fan, I’m scared to death of the Bengals. Notwithstanding the fact that Cincy has beaten KC three times in a row, the Bengals looked friggin’ great today. They manhandled a good Bills team on the road.
I decided I wanted to watch the game lounging at home instead of a bar and was late picking up food. When Buffalo elected to kick off I just shook my head. I couldn’t get home fast enough to see the 1st 2 touchdowns.
SOOOOO GLAD we get the Niners at The Linc this weekend. A rookie QB in a hostile environment in an NFC Champ game? Nice 19 total points and penalties.
31-17 EAGLES . Easy peasy. Pash rush the kid to make him throw wide-outs. The picking will be good.
BUT… I’d really rather NOT play the Bengals. WTH? They waltzed into a Buffalo snowstorm and were ahead the whole time. With plenty of backup players on the OL. All business.
It was obviously going to be one of those wild and desperate lateral plays, so Frisco nipped it in the bud by immediately pancaking the initial receiver. They never let it get started.
I’d also like to add that Prescott performed exactly the way I expected him to perform because that is how he has always performed in big games. The two picks he threw colored the entire game. He should have thrown a third and fatal pick six, but the guy dropped it.
People were making such a big fuss over him because of their huge win against Tampa, but Tampa wasn’t even a real playoff team. Green Bay and definitely Detroit would have done a much better job in their stead.
Pretty happy to see the Bills out, since they are a divisional rival, but more importantly because I’ve got the Bengals picked to make the Super Bowl in the Early Picks contest I can’t say I’m surprised at the loss, since they’ve looked a little shaky the last few weeks, particularly against the Dolphins featuring a no-name third string QB. That said, given the weather and home field advantage, I expected this game to be much closer.
Why have people not realized that Brock Purdy is not the typical rookie? He doesn’t get intimidated, ever.
Purdy and Hurts played against each other in college in 2019 and combined for eleven touchdowns between them. Iowa St scored 20 unanswered in the 4th but lost by one on a failed 2-point conversion.
