NFL 2022: Week Twelve Angry Men

3 and 1, 30+ seconds left, and they try for a deep shot? Oh Lions, never change.

I’m not quite up to real time in the Giants game, but Daniel Jones is looking solid rolling to his right. At least a couple times.

Not sure what Dallas was thinking there going for it on their side of the field. The Giants weakness is offense; punt it and make them beat you.

EDIT: Oh shit, Slayton steps up, 40 yd contested catch. Tackled right on the goal line so Barkley can get me some fantasy points. Nice.

The NFL Competition Committee may look at revising that 2 feet rule, if getting just your toe down isn’t sufficient.

Yeah, considering Lamb’s toes came down first and all. That rule cost him a highlight reel touchdown catch.

I don’t know why Collinsworth isn’t at this game but I wish they’d ditch him and have Dungy and Garret call every game.

Aaron Rodgers has now confirmed that the injury he suffered to his right (throwing) thumb at the end of the Packers’ game against the Giants on October 9th was a fracture. He’s been playing with the thumb taped, but his accuracy has been significantly lower since the injury

I take him at his word. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get hurt again and actually require surgery, but I believe him when he says he can throw with it.

So let’s say he keeps playing with it, and it’s not a huge deal and yet they go 2-2 over the next four games, so now you’re 6-9 and not making the playoffs. Do you give Love any starts?

I was just up in Green Bay for Thanksgiving, and that was exactly the gist of a couple of articles I was reading in the local paper – though they were saying it could/should come as soon as next week, if they fail to beat the Eagles on Sunday night.

In one of those articles (linked below, though I suspect it’s behind a paywall), the author quotes a 538.com analysis, which currently gives the Packers only a 4% chance of making the playoffs (and that drops to 2% if they lose to the Eagles). Football Outsiders is currently projecting the Packers to finish at 7-10, with only a 2.4% chance of making the playoffs - their odds are even better of winding up with the #1 pick in next year’s draft (3.6%).

Bears already on a 3rd string QB and the game hasn’t started.

I won’t be watching

I was listening to the radio pre-game show, when they announced that Siemian was out, about 20 minutes ago. The analysts had already been predicting a Bears loss, but that sent them around the bend, as they started talking about just how bad Peterman is, and how ugly the game was now going to be.

Apparently, Siemian started feeling better, as he’s been at QB for the Bears.

This Bears @ Jets game is remarkably fun to watch. Passing up a storm. Also a pretty funny bungled field goal attempt in the rain.

It’s Mike White starting for the Jets, going 16-20 for 235 with 2 TDs in the first half for a passer rating of 148.96. He started for the Jets last season and had a good game, so they gave him a real shot. He didn’t do so great the next couple games so they sat him back down. But now with Zach Wilson being such an irredeemable punk in last week’s post-game, White gets another start and again he’s crushing it.

To put that 235 yards in perspective, Zach Wilson threw for 180 yards the past two games combined. When he was around 198 yards, the announcers said “the Jets haven’t had this many passing yards in the first half since…Mike White’s first game last year.”

Commies pull off another one. Someone start sculpting Taylor Heinicke’s bust! LOL

That was a catch by the Browns, which tied it up.

Odell Beckham, Jr. kicked off a flight for ‘medical reasons’

Love the Jags going for two.

Nice ending to the Baltimore-Jax game. He was only a few yards short.

10 - 1 !!! :eagle:

And it looks like surgery might be an option for Rodgers. Feel bad for him, but Love tricked us for a TD, that’s for sure.
