That might well have been the worst interception I have ever seen an NFL quarterback throw. He aimed for the linebacker’s hands and hit them.
I’m pretty sure I’m going for it on that 4th and 1. The extra 40 yards you gain by punting is easily outweighed by the increase in your chance to win if you get the first.
They blew it with the penalty.
Here’s one for you. Andy Dalton is playing football about as badly as a human being can play it and is the reason his team is losing. While I do not recall it being done before, is this a situation where a team should send in the backup QB? I mean, why not?
As I typed this whatshisname #18 dropped a TD or near-TD so I guess Dalton’s getting some help losing this game.
Green has to catch that ball.
That ball was knocked out of Green’s hands on a good defensive play.
Andy Dalton may want to take a vacation far, far away from Cincinnati starting right after the game. He might want to dye that hair too.
If he caught it properly the defender would not have knocked it loose. Went right through his hands.
He didn’t really look any better against the Ravens last week. Cincinnati’s good defense, and Baltimore’s inept offense, were the main reason his turnovers didn’t cost the Bengals a win.
Edit: Game over!
There goes the North. Same old Bungles.
Headline: Attacks against tall, red headed men have increased 300% in Cincinnati following today’s game. All tall, red headed men are instructed to stay inside, don’t wear Bengals gear, and if they must leave the house, dye their hair first.
As much as my personal level of anger and alcohol over the outcome of the game wants to influence what I type here, I will just say good game Chargers.
I am so, so disappointed. The Bengals had everything in front of them and laid an egg.
Sigh. Fuck. The worst feeling in the world is knowing how long it is until next season. It’s a yawning eternity away. Goddammit!
Alright, time to stop before I get banned.
Of course the Packers lose a starting CB in the first 3 minutes of the game. Why would I expect anything else?
As a Panthers fan, I’m rooting for the Packers. Not that I think they’ll be easy, I just think they provide a better matchup.
And now Mike Neal. Sigh.
The events closing out the game lend a lot of credence to my idea that, like a struggling goalie or a shell-shocked pitcher, sometimes you should pull the QB.
Kudos to Fangio and the Niners defense. They’re making Aaron Rodgers look scared and pedestrian.
I knew it would be hard for GB, but I expected a few 1st downs…
But I’m happy they made it this far
Brian
The packers o-line look like they are mad at their qb.
