NFL Week 11

What are you referring to? I missed whatever it was by headdesking probably.

MJD did the LeBron powder thing after his first TD. Wouldn’t mind seeing him leave the game with a torn everything.

The PI ruling in the end zone when the ball was clearly tipped. JAX challenged the awful call and somehow the refs decided that even though they had visual evidence their call was wrong, they decided they didn’t care about the actual rules.

I saw it on the red zone channel, so I may have missed something. But I’ve never seen the refs flat out make a call against an actual rule. It’s like they didn’t know what the rules actually are.

Posted too soon: The Browns got 1st and Goal at the 1 and ran it in two plays later. I think the penalty happened on third down.

It’s really baffling that given that Green Bay spreads the defense as much as anyone, they are completely unable to run.

So the Bengals, looking like they had no life, close the game up and have momentum. So what’s the call? That’s right, a totally botched handoff-backward pass-what the hell was that debacle. It’s almost as if they get close to success and pull back right at the cusp by reverting to the Bungles of old.

Put these guys away, Cincinnati. The playoffs are yours for the taking. If you want them.

I fully expect the Eagles to dominate the Giants today with Vince Young throwing for 3+ TDs and running for another. Why? Because it’s completely improbable and that seems to be routine in the NFL nowadays (and it would only make sense for the Eagles to give their fans one final week of fleeting hope)… but also because the only thing that hasn’t gone wrong with the Eagles season so far is a QB controversy.

Browns playcalling massively better today. Secret walrus takeover?

I knew I spoke too soon. :frowning:

Since when is tackling by the hair a penalty?

Cleveland hosed by make up? phantom PI with the game on the line

They called it a horse collar, but I was thinking the same thing. I figure if you wear your hair like that it’s fair game.

It’s not. In fact, Adam Jones took Torrey Smith down that way in the Ravens-Bengals game and they picked up the flags. Why, did someone get penalized for that?

Yeah, Lions defender (Avril?) stopped Deangelo Williams from scoring by yanking his ponytail.

It’s a pony tail collar and legal.

So the Panthers showed some mettle, tying the game with a 2pt.conversion. Then they proceed to let the Lions rill down the field on the next possession.

They continue to be the Stephen King of football - can’t write a good ending to save their asses.

Go skins!!!

Well, shit. The Bengals came roaring back into that game after being down 17 points, only to have their offensive line shit the bed on the last three plays after stifling the Baltimore pass rush the entire game. And Dalton made some rookie mistakes.

I like this young Bengals team though. They are fun to watch and don’t pack it in like the Bengals of old when they are behind in games. They will bounce back.

Well, the Bengals got robbed on two calls in the last 5 minutes. First was a touchdown called back after the player got possession, broke the plane and went out of bounds. The second was a Suggs horse-collar that wasn’t called, instead it was intentional grounding on Dalton.

Too bad. Then again, the Ravens will lose to the Browns twice if their usual pattern holds, so it’s not over yet. The Bengals now need a lot of help to make the playoffs.

Well that would at least partially salvage my season so that’d be nice.

The Lions play like they are all hung over. They get creamed the first half, then sober up and win at the end. They should partake of “the hair of the Lion” before the game.
