Gronkowski just set the single season TE TD record with his 14th, third of the day. Colts kept it close for a little with a FG drive early that took almost an entire quarter, but since then it’s been what we expected. 31-3 and counting in the 3rd.
You know what’s weird about Gronkowski is that he’s racking up monster stats and yet I never hear him get much hype at all or discussion, even amongst fantasy football pundits. He doesn’t get talked about like Gates in his prime gets talked about.
Heh, that may have been premature - they just adjusted the scoring on the last one to a rushing TD. They motioned him into the backfield and ran a swing pass, and on replay it was definitely a lateral.
They were showing him and Welker together after the TD and… dude is huge. And fast. And Brady likes throwing to him.
I haven’t watched the Vikings this year but it looks like Ponder might be a good one.

Does Gronkowski ever block? Seems to me he’s more like a slot receiver that just lines up tight against the tackle than an actual TE, but I haven’t really watched any of the Patriots games that closely.

Of the two TEs - Gronkowski and Hernandez - Gronk is actually the “blocking” TE. That said, with the offense they run, there are definitely weeks/matchups when the two-TE sets are more like four or five wide. Similar to how they’ve done it in past years, many of the de facto rushing plays are swings and bubble screens to Welker, Edelman, or Hernandez.
You know the reason those have been posted is because the Tebow lovers have seriously advocated that Tebow makes their defense better. Those comments would never have been posted in a vacuum.

Besides that, who are the “Tebow lovers” around here? I don’t think anyone is all that fond of him. Some people are just saying he might not be the worst thing ever. Tebow hate is real - people really do hate Tebow - but I’m not sure we have any Tebow lovers around these parts.

Man, Tebow needs to tackle better.
