It’s really weird too because I expect such a thing from your frontrunning fans when you’re having a typical year, but usually they come out of the woodwork for the playoff runs.
It’s pretty pathetic that Cleveland is doing a better job of populating their stadium during the middle of an abysmal stadium than you guys are right in the playoff race.
And it’s not like an bad economy thing, since Cleveland is as bad as anywhere (except where I live! Seriously, the Cleveland newspaper ran an article about how shitty North Las Vegas was… apparently they needed to find the one city that was worse off than Cleveland to make everyone feel better about themselves).
So Hanie’s gutsy performance in the championship game was an anomaly, huh? That’s the only time I have ever seen him play and as someone that doesn’t follow the Bears too terribly much, that’s all I knew about him. I figured when he was named the starter due to Cutler’s injury that they might have been OK…but then Forte went down too. Talk about bad luck.
I agree…its pathetic. I used to argue for my fellow fans, but there is no excusing them anymore. Heck, I can’t really even afford to go to the game as someone that’s divorcing, just sank a bunch of money to fix up one of my cars, has primary custody of his sons, had to buy christmas presents and I have free tickets! The parking, gas to get there, concessions, etc is going to set me back over a hundred dollars easy.
In hindsight? Absolutely. He showed a few flashes in pre-season games this year but not enough to have a ton of faith in him.
His play may have been gutsy, but it wasn’t world beating, either. 13/20, 153 yds, for 1 TD and 2 INT. Pretty good for a rookie, but not for a 3rd year guy. There’s a reason he was still only the 3rd QB in his 3rd season.
Anyone watch the Texans v. Colts game? I haven’t seen it, but halfheartedly followed online and it seems like the refs were doing their damndest to make sure the Colts won. Is that even close to the truth?
Why would the refs/NFL favor the colts, I wonder? I guess they’d rather have Peyton Manning play where he seems like he belongs another 2-3 years and have Luck go somewhere else?
I’m really quite amazed because I thought Indy was throwing the season. I guess we’ll see against Jacksonville next week. At this point, what a waste it would be to go 0-13 and then not throw your season, and end up with the #2 pick.
Anyone watching NFL network? They just cut to the Falcons charging out of the tunnel to lead into today’s games. Which is odd, since Atlanta is playing New Orleans on MNF.
My boss’s boss is here at the retail store I’m working at. He’s a 49er season ticket holder for decades, and he brought his tailgate TV and an HDTV antenna. I love working for fellow Niner Faithful.
Cam Newton broke Peyton Manning’s rookie passing record. I suppose after such a struggling season for my beloved Panthers, I should take what I can get and look forward to future seasons when the team has more than a couple good players.
