I hope Mcnabb wins but they’re going to get blown out. Philly is just too talented. I hate philly fans. I wish they drafted Rickey instead of Mcnabb, then they would have gotten what they deserved.
Hands down, the bears have one of the worst o-lines in college. Er, the NFL. (How do you do the crossed out code?) I don’t know who their o-line coach is, but you don’t make a team better by moving everybody to a new position. They moved all the guards and tackles to new positions, and the one person who stayed, Kruetz, should have moved to the bench.
Last year counts too, and he gave up a ton of sacks last year. He’s a reliable stat padder for defensive linemen.
They didn’t just get better for no reason. They have made some significant upgrades in their offensive coaching. They’ve added a very good OC in Martz, and a great O-line coach in Mike Tice. Chester Taylor is an upgrade too.Their offensive actually is better, it’s not an anomaly (as you will find out). Plus, the Packers defense still sucks. If Michael Vick had started that first game in Philly, the Packers would be 1-1.
The assertion was made that Rodgers is the best QB in the division, I don’tsee how that can be asserted when there’s one other QB in the division (who Rodgers used to carry a clipboard for) who has throughly trounced him every time they’ve played. It’s absurd to say that Aaron Rodgers is better than one of the top 3 or 4 QB’s ever to play the game. Packer fans have short memories, man.
Son of a bitch, I was going to go up to the casino down the street and put a bet on GB and watch the game on their big screen… and I thought I still had 3 hours. I spent 2 months over in eastern time, and it didn’t occur to me that the MNF game would start at 5:30 here.
I never should have trusted Cutler. I’m completely right about the Packer defense being garbage, but even garbage is going to make picks when you throw the ball right at them.
I wasn’t wrong about anything/ The Packers didn’t make a play. Cutler just threw the ball to them. The only other thing the Packers managed to do on that drive was get give up 15 yards for a vicious facemask by that thug, Matthews.
A. The defense plays bad/good.
B. I say the defense is bad/good.
Doesn’t the defense playing well prove that the defense is good? If you say the defense is bad but they play good, who’s trying to bend reality to their will?
True, and he also threw 7 interceptions in 16 games and managed a 103.2 passer rating. Again, not indicative of someone who chokes under a pass rush. More indicative of someone who played behind a bad offensive line and isn’t the most mobile of guys.
And perhaps their stats will, in the end, be higher than they were last year, but there will be regression to the mean.
He is the best QB in the division. Favre and the Vikings defeating Rodgers and the Packers twice in the first (and only) two times Favre played his old team does not necessarily mean he’s better.
Favre is a legend and a first ballot Hall of Famer, but he’s not who he was last season and he’s not, right now, better than Rodgers.
I’m not a Packers fan, so my memory problems must be caused by something else.
Well, as inept as Cutler was for most of the half, the Bears are still right there in the game, and their defense is starting to take control. I still exepect the Bears to win (though maybe not by double digits).
