NHL 70-goal scorers

How many players have had 70-goal seasons in the NHL.

Teemu Sellane
M. Lemieux
W. Gretzky
Phil Espisito

Far as I know, that’s it.

add Brett Hull, darnit!

Ok, I apologize. Here is the whole list and I’m not coming back to add anyone. I should know better:

92-Wayne Gretzky, 1981-82
87-Wayne Gretzky, 1983-84
86-Brett Hull, 1990-91
85-Mario Lemieux, 1988-89
76-Phil Esposito, 1970-71
76-Alexander Mogilny, 1992-93
76-Teemu Selanne, 1992-93
73-Wayne Gretzky, 1984-85
72-Brett Hull, 1989-90
71-Wayne Gretzky, 1982-83
71-Jari Kurri, 1984-85
70-Mario Lemieux, 1987-88
70-Bernie Nichols, 1988-89
70-Brett Hull, 1991-92

I guess I should have lisated the ones I know — anyway, Bernie Nicholls and Alexander Mogilny are the other ones I know.

And I will ask everyone to verify your answers before posting, because I was absolutely certain about a few other players, but in fact they did not score 70, so please verify your answers before replying … thx.

Bossy…haven’t seen you here before. Welcome to the boards! Now I have someone with whom we can gang up on NYR407.
//// LET’S GO ISLANDERS!

I got the same list as Philster. As a side note, Mike Bossy just missed. He scored 69 in 1979.

Hey! I wondered why my ears were ringing.

You’ll need more than two Fishstick fans to gang up on me.

BTW that list includes 4 former Rangers and 0 former Illanders(Not a typo. Do you know why?).

Granted they didn’t score that many goals in a season when they were on the Rangers but we usually go for the declining/washed up players and pay them as if they still can score 50+ goals.

Toronto is gunning to take that M.O. from the Rangers…
