Nick Cave: 'God is in the House'

I can’t make my mind up about this song…Is it heartfelt? Is it cynical? Is he messing with us, or is it 100% open honesty? Maybe there’s no answer, at least none that he’s telling. But I’d love to know others’ opinions.

My vote: Cynical, but there are plenty of fundies fool enough that it could be heartfelt for them.

Nick didn’t give a shout-out to his homie God, did he?

Funny, i’m listening to Nick Cave right now, Tender Prey though. I would say cynical, but he does believe in god. That songs got brilliant lyrics though.

“Lesbian counterattacks?” That stuff is for the big cities!
