Here is my friend Nick Hagelin playing his version of I Can’t Believe It by T-Pain. (He wrote a new chord progression for it, and changed the inflection of the words as well.) There are a lot of versions, for some reason, on Youtube of this particular song being covered on an acoustic guitar. (Why?) But this one is by far the only one out of any of them that is actually any good. (I had never even heard the original version by T-Pain, or any other song by him for that matter, until after I heard this version and then looked it up out of curiosity. I can safely say, this version is better.)
He won First Price in the North Carolina Songwriter of the Year contest. Hopefully he will go on to have a successful career. (He’s also an accomplished ballet dancer.)
