nicotine brownies?

Are they possible?

Everyone knows you can make pot brownies, but could you do the same thing with regular old cigarettes? Roll out the tobacco, fry it up in butter and use the nic-butter in a batch of Betty Crocker?

This could give smokers the fix they crave without ruining their lungs (basically the same idea behind Nicorette gum?), or would it just not work?

If so, why dont people make them? Or do they, and I just don’t know about it?

I don’t know why it wouldn’t work–my boss who is highly dependent on cigarettes does eat the last little bit of his unfiltered cigs. But as he notes, the lungs are a much more effective and rapid delivery system. The same is true for pot, though, so I would assume nic brownies would be analogous to pot ones.

Nicorette gum actually contains ingredients to retard the delivery of the nicotine, since you’re trying to quit, after all. Much better will be the new Tic-Tac-like nicotine mint that’s coming out soon. I can’t find the name, but it’s for smokers stuck on airplanes, etc., and its goal is to deliver the nicotine, not help people quit.

I’m not so sure that it would work. Nicotine is pretty toxic, I don’t know what the lethal dose is, but I don’t think it’s that much, so it might be something worth keeping in mind when fixing a batch of nicotine brownies; a lethal dose of pot, on the other hand, is way up there, so you don’t really have to worry about that.

I imagine they’d probably taste like shit, too. Better off sticking with chewing tobacco. Speaking of which, you ever swallow much spit when chewing tobacco? Generally not a pleasant thing to do.
