"Night at the Museum movies": did the animate props ever acknowledge that they were dead?

The second movie, the one about the Smithsonian was on last night and I was sort of absentmindedly listening to it in the background. From that, and from my memories of the first movie, I can’t help but wonder: did the props ever acknowledge that they were dead? I can’t recall that they ever did.

(Aside from Hank Azaria’s overexcited “I was DEAD and have come back to LIFE!” – but even then, I think the pharoah he was playing was the actual mummy and not just a prop, so a bit different, right?)

They knew they weren’t real, at least. It’s a touching moment for Robin Williams’s President Roosevelt near the end of the first film.
