There was an ad on the local newspaper stating that original Nissan brake lightbulbs light up 0.3 seconds faster than ordinary ones. This means that under extreme conditions, the car that is following you will have more chances of braking in time to avoid an accident.
Is the 0.3 second assertion true? How do Nissan original lightbulbs rate against bulbs from a premium manufacturer like Würth?
Could they be talking about the LED bulbs that many cars use for the third brakelight? According to this page for aftermarket LED bulbs they light up .2 seconds faster than conventional bulbs and this page claims LEDs light up 250ms (.25 seconds?) faster than convetional bulbs.
While it would be misleading to compare Third brake light LEDs that many other cars also have to traditional bulbs it would not be the first time an ad was misleading.
