OK…maybe I imagined this, but when I was a kid during the Watergate era, I seem to recall talk of a film in which the lead actors played the characters of Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew but with the mannerisms of Laurel and Hardy. I believe Nixon/OliverHardy was played by Rich Little or David Frye perhaps? Does anyone know if this movie was ever released? Was it supressed by “The Man” or ,as I suspect, was it simply so bad that it never saw the light of day?
