I was browsing around eBay tonight and I came across a category Movies>35MM. I noticed that there were no actual movies, only trailers. Do the studios always get the 35MM prints back after the picture completes its run? How do they ensure that? Doesn’t anything ever slip out? Do the theaters pay hefty fines if they don’t send the prints back? Is there some intermediary that handles the transaction, who says “give us the prints or we break all your legs”?
